What's wrong with Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
#NotBlackFriday

Like many of you, we're really concerned with the Climate Crisis that we're all facing.

It is for this reason that we've really thought to re-evaluate Black Friday - and that we've been using the #NotBlackFriday hashtag.

As we all know, one of the biggest drivers to climate change is our over-consumption, and it is one of the key things that we, in our western societies, really do need to start addressing.  It is for this reason that here at Dr Zigs we're not promoting any special deals this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Instead we would love you to really stop and have a think about what you need (or don't need) this year, and how maybe we can all influence our Christmas Shopping.

We do absolutely love it when you buy our toys - and you can do so safe in the knowledge that our bubbles are all made in the UK, we care and monitor the carbon footprint and how far each component or ingredient has traveled (mostly from the UK itself). And we use part of our profits to push the Bubbles Not Bombs work that we do.

But this year, why not have a look at the even more eco offerings that we have?  For example - for your Boxing day walk you could HIRE one of our celebration kits.  Cheaper all round, and it will be something that will get used again and again.  Or why not buy one of our new Bubble Painting kits? You can use these to cheer up any old scrap paper and turn this into wrapping, Christmas cards - or even Christmas crackers! (here are some ideas: https://metro.co.uk/2019/11/21/plastic-free-reusable-crackers-make-christmas-go-off-sustainable-bang-11190797/) Look out for lots of new making ideas on our website!

So, this Black Friday, do stop and have a think about what your family, and our planet really needs.  Have a think about what you can re-use, re-cycle or just make - to make an ever more personalised gift for loved ones.

Our take on Christmas?  We'll be running LOADS more giveaways! So keep your eyes peeled this festive season.

Wishing you all a Nadolig Llawen, and a very happy festive season.

Bubble love,

Paola
